A bitter rivalry will finally come to an end as Amir Khan and Kell Brook face off in a battle of British fighters.
The fight will take place Saturday, Feb. 19, inside Manchester Arena in England.
Khan made his pro debut in 2005 after winning a silver medal in the 2004 Olympics. He became a Commonwealth lightweight champion in 2008 and won the WBA light welterweight title in 2009. He lost the title to Danny Garcia in 2012. He has competed for multiple other titles since then; he lost to Canelo Alvarez for the WBC middleweight title in 2016 and to Terence Crawford for the WBO welterweight title in 2019. Khan’s last fight was a TKO win over Billy Dib in July 2019.
Brook made his debut in 2004. He became British welterweight champion in 2008 and won the IBF welterweight title in 2014 from Shawn Porter. He tested his luck against Gennadiy Golovkin for the WBC, IBF and IBO middleweight titles in 2016 and lost via TKO. Brook lost the IBF welterweight title to Errol Spence Jr. in May 2017. He lost to Crawford via TKO in his last fight, in November 2020.
